| I'm off of work today, which means I have a chance to stop by here and put in an update of some sort. For those of you who were wondering, the movie I was helping out with finished Saturday. I was able to help my friend out and I was an extra in two scenes: a frat party and a philosophy class. Depending on the shots they used at the frat party, I may not actually be in that scene, but I should be in the class scene since I'm seated near one of the leads in the movie. They told me that when the movie was finished, it would be taken to the Sundance Film Festival and I would get my own DVD of the movie. I figure I'll watch it first and then maybe have a watch party, whether the movie is any good or not. Who knows, I might have ended up being an extra in one of the greatest films of all time. My softball team is doing a lot better this year than we did last year. So far, we're still undefeated and tied for first. Just because we're only four games into the season doesn't mean I can't enjoy the fact that we're still undefeated. Right now we're tied with Wildwood and we get to play them this Friday, weather permitting. I've met the qualifications again this year to be entered into the cruise drawing at work again, but this year, I qualified for two entries. I won last year's cruise with only one entry, so I'm hoping to win it again this year with two, but nobody in the Oklahoma region has won twice yet. This year's cruise is to Hawaii, so I'm hoping to pull the upset and be the first person to win the cruise twice. As of right now, I've knocked out about half of the 250 greatest movies of all time with From Here to Eternity and Forrest Gump arriving at my apartment yesterday. I guess that's really about it right now, wasn't really a very exciting couple of weeks for me, no really interesting dreams either. Oh, an interesting tidbit of information I picked up at training on Monday: Based on averages, I shouldn't have a very long life. Apparently, being male, left-handed, Hispanic and taller than average all shorten my life span. I just hope I make it to 30. Well, I guess it's off to watch another movie. By the way, if any of you in the Norman area get bored, let me know and we can hang out, watch a movie, go bowling or all of the above. I'm out. |
